Absolutely gorgeous. Even at the time of its construction, the atmosphere on Les Petite Coquilles, "the Place of the Little Shells" (the ground upon which Fort Pike was built) was such that the fort's interior walls were regularly running with condensation. Special wooden structures had to be built within the fort's magazines to keep the all-important gunpowder dry, and the initially planned cisterns which were to supply drinking water for the fort's garrison had to be rethought, as brackish water inevitably seeped in. Left to its own devices, this is what that atmosphere wreaks on brick casemates!
