Poof! We are now to the north of Fort Pike, next to its parking lot. The outerworks of the fort seem like an unnecessary afterthought now, with the ditch and glacis and banquette all deteriorated to nothingness, but rest assured that this system of outer fortifications was thought through very carefully by Messr.
