Well okay technically, Great Britain didn't go around building forts just because there was water nearby. It is thanks to Fort Niagara, which we see here across the Niagara River, that we get a Fort Mississauga. These two opposing forts seem ridiculously close to one another, just a few thousand feet...thank you, early 19th-century artillery, for being of such dubious use!
