We are invited to inspect his firearm. Now that I study his headgear, I realize that this Canadian is posing as an American, for that is a "Tombstone" shako! He sure didn't apologize like an American.

There followed a firing display, which was impressive, but I concentrated on taking video of this event, and the videos didn't really turn out as impressively as the actual event was, so I do not include them here. I learned on this trip that such displays are getting rarer in the United States, as we are a particularly litigious society...but as Canada's governmental system can best be described as "total anarchy*," they can let loose with whatever pyrotechnics they feel like, at any moment they choose, with no fear of any sort of legal repercussion.

*Not really. Canada is an extremely orderly place. But you knew I was joking already.
