One of three 12" mounts of Battery Arnold, which is connected to Battery Harker but still counts as a separate battery; go figure. One imagines that this is what such a battery looked like for the Coast Artillery dudes of 1899! Battery Arnold was named for Lieutenant Colonel Lewis G. Arnold of the 2nd U.S. Artillery, who served in the Florida Indian Wars and US Civil War.
